Jeri’s Corner: Fitness and Food

My Lite Bites

This past week I had family come to visit. Needless to say we ate out..a lot. I also wanted to mention that I have moved away from Paleo and onto Weight Watchers. Since making this change, my weight has been holding at 125 which is great. It also provides for more eating options and sweets! With the summer approaching, I tend to do less cooking and more salads paired with chicken, turkey and fish.

Feeling the need to eat much lighter, I prepared Tilapia on the grill and paired it with a salad.  Clean and simple, I had about 1.5 pounds of fish and used the juice and pulp of two lemons for the marinade. After a couple of hours, I seasoned some of the fish with lemon pepper and the other half with Mrs. Dash Lime Fiesta and grilled the fish.

Overall, Crossfit has been great. I love that my body doesn’t know whats coming. The Crossfit group met at the park this morning to conduct our session. Todays work was a mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 air squats and a one mile run. I completed this in 1:10. At some point my posted times will get better. One can only hope!

That’s it for now!
