Seventh Week Down – LuRong Paleo Challenge 2013

Day 43 (10/28/13) Weight 122.5. My legs are still a little tight. I had two days off so not sure if I need more or not. I worked out with a friend tonight at a gym and just kept it light. A funny thing is that I was working on my Cleans and got as high as 125. Then I thought…hey I’m cleaning beyond my body weight and I thought that was amazing! I am on a mission to hit my weight goal by the end of the week. As the challenge is coming to a close, I need to provide measurements by next week and I would like to be at my goal weight.

Day 44 (10/29/13) Weight 122. Really beginning to feel lighter. I definitely notice that when I am performing certain gymnastic moves at the box. It feels really good. Really working hard toward hitting my weight goal of 120 by the end of the week. No one has said anything about me looking a little thin, other than someone mentioning my pants are a little saggy in the butt. I think I can go lower.

Tonight we had a couple of tabata’s going on. The first is a 250 meter row + 25 push ups with a time cap of 15 minutes. I completed a total of six rounds. The second was all Double Unders for eight rounds. I completed 158. I’m pretty sure I could have done more if it weren’t for my sore ankles.

One thing is for sure, once the challenge is over I will be taking a week off.

Day 45 (10/30/13) Weight 123.5. Well tonight was challenge WOD 8, which is a redo of WOD 1 to gauge improved performance. I had intendied on performing it, but thought I have 1 day before I see the massage therapist. I decided to decline and to do the WOD on Saturday. As folks were performing their WOD, I practiced my box jumps, specifically rebounding and wall balls.

Day 46 (10/31/13) Weight 124. I will be glad to get rid of this shoulder/neck pain. The therapist was able to work on the irritating spot for about 15 min. and if felt pretty good afterwards, only mild pain. I will heat it up tonight and see how I feel in the morning!

I went to the box in the afternoon and did light conditioning. 4RFT: Burpee Pull ups, #130 lb Back Squats, 200m run.

Day 47 (11/1/13) Weight 123. I was hoping the pain would have been gone, but it is not. It is what it is. We performed WOD 9, which is WOD 2 over again. 100 Burpees and 100 Kettlebell Swings. The time on the first run was 12:39 and the second time around it was 12:23. I am stronger and faster than I was yesterday.

Day 48 (11/2/13) Weight 121.5. This morning I went into the box to perform WOD 1, which was 21, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, 3 of Wall Balls, Deadlifts and Box Jumps. The first time I got 14:23 and the second time I got 14:04. I am glad that is done and over with. Hopefully, by tomorrow I will be at 120.5 which is .5 lbs from my target. Things are getting exciting!

Day 49 (11/3/13) Weight 121.5. Still shy of my target but I am hopeful to hit it early next week. Rest day.
